Best Film to Watch This Year: “The Struggle Continues”
NYIHA TV is a destination for discovery, engaging viewers as they discover the quality and depth of its content. Our new film, The Struggle Continues (La Lucha Sigue), is a feature documentary about Honduras.
Four years after the brutal assassination of world-renowned Indigenous leader Berta Cáceres in 2016, the film follows The Council of Popular and Indigenous Organizations of Honduras (COPINH) and The Black Fraternal Organization of Honduras (OFRANEH), two grassroots Indigenous organizations leading the struggle for justice in Honduras.
Together these groups are fighting to uphold their spirituality and Indigenous ways of life which are threatened by Honduran oligarchs, narco-traffickers and state-backed megaprojects. The Struggle Continues is sure to resonate with Latin American and Caribbean diaspora viewers across the globe.
Produced by Melissa Cox, The Struggle Continues presents rarely seen footage of street-level confrontation between heavily armed Honduran government forces and unarmed civilians. Watch the trailer on the film’s main landing page found at: https://projektor.com/u/nyihatv/the-struggle-continues.
